West Bloomfield Township is sometimes referred to as “the lake township of Oakland County” with good reason, as the area is sprawling with small and medium-sized lakes. The area is home to 24 lakes, with Cass Lake being the largest and deepest lake in the Lake Erie Management Unit (LEMU).

Marshbank Park sits along the shoreline of Cass Lake and hosts many special events throughout the year, including a summer concert series, family camp out night, and a Trick-or-Treat trail during the fall season. Those with furry friends can enjoy a day well spent together at West Bloomfield Dog Park.

Drake Sports Park is the go-to for summer camps, youth who enjoy skateboarding and soccer, and seniors who like pickleball. The West Bloomfield Trail, which spans over 4 miles through the 28 acres of West Bloomfield Woods Park, also has several sites and habitats for patrons to enjoy.

West Bloomfield’s downtown area is located along Orchard Lake Road, which is lined with strip malls and shopping complexes. Orchard Mall is a high-end retail shopping mall that “offers the comfort of shopping amongst a community that shares values.” The area has many different dining options, from fast-casual to a multitude of ethnic options and fine dining. Nearby is the TreeRunner West Bloomfield Adventure Park, which is an aerial park with over 250 exciting obstacles, 47 zip lines, 6 levels of difficulty, and 15 different trails .
