ABOUT BOLLINGER MOTORS
Bollinger Motors was originally founded in the Catskill Mountains of New York in 2015. After 2 years of development, the small team revealed their first working electric truck prototype in 2017. With a huge response to the all-original ground-up truck design, the company promptly moved to Detroit, Michigan to expand the engineering team and prepare a new design for production. Bollinger Motors is now based in Oak Park, Michigan where the team focuses on building the highest quality commercial electric trucks available. Bollinger Motors has taken all its electric off-road truck chops to the commercial segment. Using the same robust DNA from the Bollinger B1 and B2, our commercial Class 3 thru 6 platforms will be durable, dependable, electric work beasts. In short, your fleet will be electric wolves in sheep’s clothing. And these platforms are turnkey ready to rumble (quietly). Translation: Less down time for your business and more savings in overall TCO.
WHAT DRIVES THE WORK THAT YOU DO?
From the start, Bollinger Motors set out to develop the world’s most capable Class 3, off-road, electric trucks. From the ground up, the dream was to build something that didn’t exist. Clean and simple, built to last. Nothing frivolous, nothing unnecessary. All electric. All wheel drive. All truck.
Taking the all electric path was obvious for Bollinger Motors, though a long overdue refresh in the world of truck design was in order. Our unrelenting drive to build a new standard in this landscape was to scrap everything and start from scratch -a luxury most OEM’s do not have. We had no previous designs to save or preserve like other companies. A true blank canvas.
And no, we didn’t have to reinvent the wheel either –that was a pretty sound design already. We did however, rethink all existing systems on trucks, how we use them and what we wished they did. For these electric-powered trucks to be unlike any other, we stripped away the old cumbersome systems, looked at the spaces we gained and made truly utilitarian uses of them. Anything left standing that worked great already, we left alone.
