Home to Adrian College, Siena Heights University, Jackson College, and the LISD Tech Center, Adrian is a small college town about an hour away from Ann Arbor and 90 minutes from Detroit. Recognized as a Historic Commercial District, Adrian is known for its great schools and active cultural scene, including its annual Art-A-Licious, Blues and Brews Festival, and historic Croswell Opera House, which hosts over 100 shows each year and is the longest continually operating opera house east of the Mississippi.

Downtown Adrian is also popular for young professionals, offering regular events such as  First Fridays, unique second and third-story apartments above downtown businesses, and live music inside of local bars and restaurants like Cotton Brewery Tap Room, Hooligans, the Brick Wall, and Farver’s at the Croswell.

Nature lovers can also enjoy Adrian – also known as the Maple City – with the city boasting more than 17 community parks and open spaces. It has trails along the River Raisin that connect the city’s parks, as well as a nine-mile trail to the neighboring city of Tecumseh.
