Home to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor is an active, progressive and walkable community.

Home to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor is a bustling university town with great food and a walkable downtown. About an hour away from Detroit, Ann Arbor is close to a number of communities throughout Washtenaw County including Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Milan, Saline and Ypsilanti. With so many cities nearby, Ann Arbor has become it’s own little cultural center and small urban community.

Check out tasty eats like Spencer, Zingerman’s and Ms. Kim. If nightlife is your thing, go dancing at Necto, hit up 8 Ball dive bar or get a cozy cocktail at The Last Word or Raven’s Club.

Ann Arbor is also a great spot for outdoor recreation, with pretty rural areas and parks just 10 or 15 minutes away from downtown. The Huron River runs through the city (the best for tubing and kayaking in the summer!) and there are great spots for hiking or disc golf at places like Pinckney Recreation Area or Huron River Metropark.
