Health - Chass Center

The Community Health and Social Services Center (CHASS) is a community-based nonprofit formed to develop, promote and provide comprehensive, accessible and affordable quality primary health care and support services to all residents, with emphasis on the underserved African American and Latino populations.

For 48 years, CHASS has been a healthcare anchor in the Southwest Detroit community. During that time, the organization has also served as a training site for future health care professionals. CHASS prides itself on delivering culturally and linguistically competent care to ensure understanding of prescribed medical regimens. CHASS is committed to the overall well being of the community.

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE GET INVOLVED IN IMPROVING HEALTH AND WELLNESS ACROSS THE REGION?

Health is the foundation for all that we do. Without health, individuals struggle with being able to provide for themselves and their families, and their quality of life is diminished as a result. For all of us to live our healthiest lives we must be able to provide quality, affordable care for all.

WHAT ARE THE TOP WAYS PEOPLE CAN GET ENGAGED IN SERVING YOUR ORGANIZATION’S MISSION?

  1. Provision of in-kind talent and support, especially in areas of graphic design, marketing and promotion.
  2. Participate in, and share, information about CHASS sponsored events and classes.
  3. Host programming for CHASS patients and/or staff.
