One of my top picks is Strange Matter Coffee Company, a hip, little joint with a laid-back vibe and artisanal coffee that hits the spot. Grab a seat by the window and let the creative energy flow as you sip on their signature brews.

Need a break from the hustle and bustle of campus life? Head over to Crego Park, just a stone’s throw away from Michigan State University. This hidden oasis offers serene walking trails, picturesque picnic spots, and even a peaceful pond where you can watch the ducks glide by. It’s the perfect escape for some fresh air and nature therapy.
Did you know that we have our very own botanical garden right here on campus? The W.J. Beal Botanical Garden is a true hidden gem, boasting a stunning collection of plants worldwide. Take a stroll through the lush greenery, soak in the vibrant colors, and maybe even find a quiet bench to sit and reflect.

Just a short drive from campus, Potter Park Zoo is a must-visit for animal lovers and adventure seekers alike. Spend an afternoon wandering the winding paths, getting up close and personal with exotic wildlife, and maybe even catching a feeding or two. It’s a fun and educational escape right in our own backyard.
Conrad’s in East Lansing is a cozy spot known for its mouthwatering burgers, like the classic Conrad’s Burger or the Spicy Southwest Burger for a fiery twist. With an extensive beer selection featuring local craft brews, it’s the perfect place to unwind with friends or enjoy a satisfying solo meal. As a favorite among locals and students, Conrad’s offers a taste of East Lansing’s vibrant culinary scene in a welcoming, comforting atmosphere.
