Located about 45 minutes from Detroit, The Village of Milford is a small, historical community that serves as the central business district for approximately 25,000 people in the surrounding areas. The thriving downtown district is home to over 30 restaurants and many unique stores, drawing visitors from all around.

An Abundance of Green Spaces

Milford boasts six parks within its boundaries, including Kensington Metropark, and the Huron River serves as a home for a variety of recreational opportunities. Kensington Metropark offers 4,481 acres of wooded, hilly terrain surrounding Kent Lake and is home to various fauna and flora, including the beloved sandhill crane. The Milford Trail, a state-of-the-art bike path, connects outdoor enthusiasts to a large network of bike trails throughout Oakland and Livingston County, including the Milford Mountain Bike Trail.

Downtown Milford and its adjacent neighborhoods are on the National Register of Historic Places. The community hosts several events to attract residents and visitors, including the annual Milford Memories summer festival, the Milford Farmer’s Market from May-Oct., and Summer Concerts from June-Aug. at the LaFontaine Family Amphitheater.
