Center Line is a small, close-knit community in Macomb County that has a low crime rate, affordable homes, large parks, and over 80 years of rich history.

While this is primarily a residential area, the city has architectural elements that make it unique, such as the St. Clement Church, and Kramer Homes Co-operative, which was designed by the famous architect, Eero Saarinen.

Center Line is a commutable distance to Detroit’s city center and includes its own diverse business community that is amplified by the companies who call it their home base, including Mopar, Whitlam Group, and Sodecia.

In the last several years, community leaders have undertaken a redevelopment effort around Center Line’s downtown and surrounding areas. Plans include urban forestry and green infrastructure programs, the creation of a walkable downtown with more shops, restaurants, and community events. The city even has an established Center Line Festival Foundation, which helps plan the city’s annual Beer Fest, Crusin’ 53 car show, and Halloween Town.
