My story
Hello my name is Tyra Moore, and I am the founder of A Girl Like Me Inc. A Girl Like Me Inc provides free diapers, wipes, milk, and bottles to teen and young moms and free feminine products to girls, teens, teen and young moms in need. I am 31 years old, and I’ve been married for 5 years. My husband is a Detroit Firefighter and we have collectively 4 kids, 2 of which we had together. I also have a stepson, and my oldest, because of the A Girl Like Me Inc program, will be 16 years old in May. In May I will be graduating with my associates degree/surgical tech.
What I love most about living in Southeast Michigan
What I love most about working in Southeast Michigan
What I love about working in Southeast Michigan is that I get to help people like me, I get to network and connect with community partners that want the best like I do. I get to work in my hometown. It’s amazing. Most of all, I get all the support from Southeast Michigan.
