My story
I grew up on a sheep, cattle, and row crop farm just outside of Winterset, Iowa: home of the Bridges of Madison County and John Wayne’s birthplace (and yes, there is a festival for both). Upon graduating from the University of Iowa with a BA in German, I moved to southeast Michigan in May of 2020.
Detroit has been a phenomenal place to put down new roots. Between the amazing community, the unique culture, and unrivaled professional sports environment, there is never a shortage of things to do here. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me exploring Michigan’s numerous disc golf courses, checking out Detroit’s craft breweries, or spending time with my favorite Michiganders (my partner and our cat, Bonk).

Southeast Michigan is a great place to work because it’s a great place to call home. I enjoy living in the Detroit area, and I want my work to contribute to the community around me.
