My story

I am a Senior at U of M and was raised in Detroit, Mi. I chose U of M because they have amazing opportunities and curriculum in the Technology field. But most importantly, it keeps me close to home and grounded in my community. I love being able to come back to my city to participate in my favorite hobbies like dance, violin, and tutoring.

My major

I chose UX Design as my career choice because of its principle of being human-oriented. I get to combine coding and creativity to help technology and interfaces be easier to use for all users. UX Designers help solve real world problems such as inclusivity and usability. Also in the Motor City, UX designers are needed more than ever as we transition over to electric and autonomous vehicles. These cars have to be understandable to use, especially for the older generation.

What I love most about Southeast Michigan

My favorite thing about Detroit is the grit, perseverance, and togetherness that it holds. I always feel like I have a wholesome place I get to call home no matter where I travel to. The food, music, and culture is everything! And my most favorite spot is the Downtown Riverwalk.
