My story

I am from Macomb, Michigan where I am very lucky to be so close to urban areas like Detroit and the lake like Port Huron. I love being a Wayne Stater, it is a very unique urban experience that Detroit has to offer, and as a student you get to experience it through a more curious lens. I love a good bike ride along the river walk or a run around campus in the spring time.

My major

I chose public health, because I am interested on exploring health through a population lens and considering factors, such as policy, in order to improve overall health. I am working on applying to graduate school to pursue an MPH, where I hope I will be able to explore health policy on the global level.

What I love most about Southeast Michigan

I love both Detroit and Southeast Michigan, because contrary to popular belief, I think is the heart of Michigan. Just in the metro-Detroit area you are able to intern at the Big 3, explore a culturally rich area like Dearborn on lunch, then head the the lake afterwards. We are so rich in experience, as each of the surrounding cities is unique. I love being able to get to where ever I want in such little time.
