My story
Hi! I am a second-year economics major at MSU! I chose MSU because I wanted to go far from home, but not too far, and MSU was the best option! I am from Detroit and have lived here my entire life! Some of my hobbies include mentoring and dancing, and I’ve recently had the opportunity to teach SEL to middle school students this past summer.
My major
I chose economics to develop my analytical and communication skills and to eventually go into the field of financial consultation. I am involved in six different organizations on campus, including a mentor for Detroit M.A.D.E and a new organization called Men of Action. I also hold the vice president chair of a mental health organization for black men on campus called Rising Black Men.
What I love most about Southeast Michigan
I love the community and culture that has been built from the history of Detroit. Everything ranging from music to the automotive industry, in which the city has continued to thrive in its development, which is why I have grown more appreciation for it every time I visit.
