As a college student, I have spent lots of time in Detroit, and I wanted to share my favorite places that I believe everyone should visit. See the list below for places to explore and check out.

Entertainment

• Music and Arts: Detroit is known for its vibrant music scene. Check out live performances at venues like the Fox Theatre or Saint Andrew’s Hall.
• Museums: Explore the Detroit Institute of Arts or the interactive exhibits at the Michigan Science Center.

Sports

• Catch a Game: Depending on the season, you might catch the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park, the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, or the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena.
• Outdoor Activities: Enjoy kayaking along the Detroit River or rent a bike and ride through the scenic Dequindre Cut Greenway.

Restaurants

• Pizza: Detroit-style pizza is a must-try, with popular spots like Buddy’s Pizza offering the square, deep-dish delight.
• Diverse Cuisine: From American to Mediterranean, Detroit’s food scene is diverse. Check out the Eastern Market on weekends for a variety of food vendors.

Places to Visit

• Belle Isle: A beautiful island park with an aquarium, conservatory, and great views of the city skyline.
• Campus Martius Park: This urban park in Downtown Detroit is a popular gathering place with seasonal activities.
