Detroit Month of Design Kick-off Party

To kick off the 12th Annual Detroit Month of Design Festival, please join Design Core Detroit to celebrate the designers, products, and projects that showcase our city’s creative talent and small businesses at Spot Lite Detroit, sponsored by DTE Energy and DTE Foundation.

There will be live entertainment, live art, DJs and food trucks throughout the night. A Flashmob Fashion Show, produced by The Fetish Project, features 16 Detroit women artists challenging female tropes in the media that shape our culture and hold us all back.

Kick-off Party Program:
6:00 p.m. – Party officially starts at Spot Lite + Outdoor lounge with Food Trucks, SMPLFD studio opens + Mike Han will be painting live for the evening

6:30 p.m. – Opening remarks by Design Core, DTE and Office Representative of District 5 inside Spot Lite

7:00 p.m. – Holly Hock x Leena Allure performs inside Spot Lite + 360 photo booth will be open in Spot Lite’s outdoor area

8:00 p.m. – The Fetish Project performs inside SMPLFD

9:00 p.m. – Holly Hock x Leena Allure performs a second time for the night
