What is your role at Bosch USA?

I am the Engineering Manager of Validation and Verification for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, which are the systems that offer drivers safety assistance while operating a vehicle.

How long have you worked at Bosch?

I joined Bosch in 2016.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

I enjoy working with global teams with diverse work cultures. Bosch has offices in more than 60 countries and supports career development from a global perspective. Even if you are not interested in moving to another country for work, you get to meet people from all over just by coming to work daily.

What type of projects does your team work on?

My team works on several projects verifying and validating various sensor-based features and functions for automotive suppliers.

What do you look for when you are staffing your team?

I look for a positive attitude, strong aptitude, and strong team player. We look for people who are not only excited about their work but also about the team.

Why should job seekers consider Bosch?

Bosch is a workplace with diverse technologies, projects, people, and cultures. This opens doors to endless opportunities and fosters innovation beyond just product development. Bosch believes in growing people and providing resources for associates to drive their careers across divisions and functions. We have had associates start in logistics and end up in sales, and some who start as electrical engineers and move into a corporate project manager role. Bosch embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion and works hard to embed these philosophies into our culture.

What advice would you give to someone interested in working for Bosch?

Bosch’s slogan is “Invented for Life” because of the endless opportunities it offers. I would advise taking advantage of these opportunities and not limiting yourself.

Why do you love the metro Detroit region?

I love the innovative automotive culture; the urban culture that is still very friendly; the close communities; and, of course, experiencing all four seasons throughout the year.
