Staffing Bosch: Meet Hiring Manager Syed Ahson

What is your role at Bosch USA?

I am the Software Engineering Manager focusing on self-driving car technology. My team is responsible for software development strategy, including meeting customer expectations on-time delivery and within budget.

How long have you worked at Bosch?

I have worked at Bosch for four years.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

I enjoy creating cutting-edge products that impress millions of automotive customers.

What type of projects does your team work on?

We work on several high-tech automotive electronic products. One is the Central Gateway Modules, which allow a vehicle to transfer data across its parts, ensuring the car is fully operational. Another is Firmware over the Air Update solutions, allowing automotive manufacturers to send software updates to vehicles. This reduces the need for automotive customers to bring their cars into a repair shop or dealership for updates. Lastly, we work on Phone as a Key, which connects a smartphone to a vehicle.

What do you look for when you are staffing your team?

Since our team doesn’t just work on individual projects, we have a high expectation that we all possess a collaborative mindset and passion for what we do. We look for candidates who are excited about our products and making a difference.
