Let’s Detroit Campus Ambassador cohort members are paid $600 for one semester of work, with only one to two hours expected per week. Ambassadors can use the money to help pay for college books, tuition, housing, a fun trip, or whatever they want.
Being a Campus Ambassador is fun! Ambassadors provide content and host events about topics they like and care about within the region. The goal is to show others why the Detroit region is the best play to live, work, and play – how Ambassadors do this is up to them. They can create Instagram stories or reels about events they attend or a day in the life of their internship, write a blog post about their favorite metro Detroit restaurants, or share why they chose their internship and how it aligns with their dream job. Being a Let’s Detroit ambassador is like a public diary, where you document your life in the Detroit region so others can see why it’s such a great place to be.
Campus Ambassadors help promote Let’s Detroit and the Detroit region among their peers on their college campuses. By planning and hosting events for Let’s Detroit and creating content for a peer audience, Ambassadors can position themselves as a leader on campus who is knowledgeable about the region and what’s happening in it.
