September Volunteer Opportunities in Metro Detroit

Volunteer to Make Heritage Park an Even Better Place

Volunteer with Detroit’s Team Hope Walk

Feed Detroit Veterans with Soldiers’ Angels

Help Soldiers’ Angels get the food they need by volunteering to load and pack bags of groceries on Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at American Legion, Joe Louis in Detroit. To volunteer, contact Nicole Johnson at njohnson@soldiersangels.org.

Volunteer with The Youth of Detroit with Life Remodeled

Life Remodeled works with organizations throughout Detroit like Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Durfee Innovation Society to provide fun activities to high elementary and high school students.

Volunteer with Gleaners

Gleaners relies on volunteers across Southeast Michigan to support feeding children, families, seniors, veterans, and others in need. By volunteering, you will support Gleaner’s warehouses and distribution centers to sort and pack food. Other volunteer opportunities include helping run mobile grocery sites, tending to community gardens, and more.
