My story
My name is Dewank Mahajan. I am an international student pursuing a Master of Science in Data Science at the University of Michigan. I hail from Punjab, a land of five rivers in Northern India. I have worked as an associate system engineer as well as vice president for the Youth Wing (ABVP) of the National Government of India where I helped in the upliftment of neighborhoods. I enjoy mentoring others and spreading awareness as a mentoring partner.
I love being involved with different organizations on campus and hold multiple leadership roles to improve student life, both in-person and virtually. I have attended multiple conferences to widen knowledge and explore opportunities. The aura of Lets Detroit community to connect, support, and explore the beauty within region excited me to collaborate with innovative individuals ready for an impact.

What I love most about working in Southeast Michigan
My home in Dearborn is close to Michigan Avenue and Ford Estate. There, you can go for a walk to freshen up and get motivated by watching all the great companies and educational institutions nearby. From food to people and recreational activities, Dearborn is an ideal place to live. I want to build my career in the Detroit data-driven industry innovating businesses in the region. There are so many opportunities that arise from learning, working, and connecting within the city that impact earning potentials and lifestyles. I see it as an opportunity to give back to and help the community continue to flourish into a more wonderful city.
