My story
I am a senior at Wayne State University, majoring in biochemistry and chemical biology with a minor in art. I was born and raised in India and moved to Michigan over 5 years ago. I am pursuing a pre-medical track and would like to continue with research in the future. Some of my hobbies include painting, digital art, playing badminton and tennis, playing the ukulele, traveling, and reading. I am constantly looking for new experiences around Detroit and enjoy volunteering locally, especially in the health care and education field. I am involved in a few organizations on campus including Delta Epsilon Mu Alpha Alpha chapter, United 2 Heal at WSU, and South Asian Awareness Network.

What I love most about working in Southeast Michigan
I love the community and the many opportunities that are present as a student and young professional. Every interaction I have had with Detroit residents has taught me something, and I have been able to appreciate the city a lot more.
