Founded in 2018 by Dessaray Seay, Bow-Aholic Bowtique was created to provide unique, high-quality, handmade accessories for mothers and daughters. Seay shared she makes her items to be cherished, uplift, and motivate her audience. Aaron Noble and Jai Machen-Whitworth co-founded Essence by Noble to make biodegradable and low-waste products readily available to customers, with the idea that people talking about their company in a couple of generations are talking about them because they love their products, not because they are picking up trash with their name on it. Its products range from natural deodorant to lip balm, shaving soap to shampoo bars, and more, providing ample gift options to choose from.
Ferosh the Label | Facebook and Instagram
Treat the fashion lover in your life to a gift from Ferosh the Label, a Detroit-based clothing store that provides original, high-quality clothes, jewelry, and accessories. Brad Hoos founded MuskOx in 2019 to bring the outdoors into people’s everyday lives. He also partnered with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) to support their work of protecting muskox and wildlife in Alaska. For every $10 spent at MuskOx, it donates $100 to AWCC. While anything from MuskOx could make a great holiday gift, its flannels are a classic.
New Millenium Books | Facebook and Instagram
Booklovers interested in positive multicultural stories would appreciate a gift from the Michigan-based bookstore, New Millenium Books. With ample book options available at the Holiday Market, as well as in its online shop, there’s a gift for everyone. One book recommended by Mr. McMillan, however, was Men of Color to Arms! Black Soldiers, Indian Wars, and the Quest for Equality by Elizabeth D. Leonard.
Nuts About Detroit

The brand sells large and small assortments of nut-based treats, including unique chocolates, dried fruits, holiday tins and trays mixed with cashews, pistachios, and more. These treats are only available in individual quantities at the Holiday Market, as they typically sell in bulk for corporate gifts, so grab a couple of boxes before they’re all gone!
