Many of the small businesses interviewed were Black-owned, and in recognition of National Black Business Month, the Chamber is sharing a series of blog posts to learn more about each business.
One of those businesses was Robert Courtney & Associates (RCA), a marketing and branding agency in Detroit. Robert Courtney, the founder, shared with the Chamber that his agency primarily helps businesses of all sizes with their social media presence, whether that’s attracting new clients or building general brand awareness.
What makes RCA’s approach to helping businesses with their online presence different is that they focus on company culture.
“We help companies identify their culture…tell their stories. We do it in a very personal way. You’ll never see us [RCA) in ties and suits—that’s not who we are. We’re authentic to ourselves, and that’s what we try to help clients, customers, and brands understand. The most important thing you could do is be yourself on social media,” Courtney said.
RCA helps businesses that are just launching and businesses that are well established develop and hone their online presence. To get started working with RCA, you can schedule a 30-minute intro call online. If you’re not ready for an ongoing collaboration with RCA yet, you can join The Yellow Room, RCA’s online platform featuring digital products and other marketing and branding resources.
“If you’re a business that’s just starting out and you need an extra boost when it comes to social media, we’re your company. If you’re an established business that’s done incredible but just hasn’t been able to master how to use social media, we’re your company. Businesses from very small to businesses that are very big, we can give you tools that’ll make you more successful,” Courtney said.
