Virtually “Road Trip with a Purpose” this August with Purpose Jobs, a startup company based in Detroit that empowers people to find jobs they love in emerging tech markets. This road trip aims to explore hidden gems located in the Midwest that will make people excited to live, work, and play there. Each stop will consist of a keynote speaker, panel discussion, and career fair.
The first stop will be Detroit and Ann Arbor on Aug. 17 from 2-5 p.m.
The keynote speaker will be Alison Todak, director of platform at Plymouth Growth Ann Arbor and ecosystem development manager at Bamboo Detroit. Representatives from Workit Health, Blumira, Signal Advisors, and Autobooks will also attend and chat about what it’s like to work at a top startup, DEI, tech jobs, and company culture.
Other topics discussed during the event will include what life is like in Detroit and Ann Arbor, the benefits of working remotely in both cities, and why those cities are booming hubs of talent and innovation.
To conclude the first road trip stop, Purpose Jobs will host an in-person happy hour, with details to be released soon.
Additional stops of Road Trip with a Purpose include Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburg; Cincinnati; Indianapolis; Cleveland; Milwaukee; and Chicago.
