Bike Trails

Tracy Besek

I’m an advocate of safe urban and suburban cycling and have worked with the City of Dearborn to pass the 5ft Safe Passing law in September 2017. I currently lead the Healthy Dearborn Walk n Roll between May and October which attract hundreds of participants each month.
I was honored to receive the League of Michigan Bicyclists 2018 Bicycle Advocate Award and the Sierra Club of SE Michigan’s Green Cruiser of the Year Award this year for my work in the city of Dearborn.

I love working with new cyclists to help teach safe riding practices and laws as they apply to cyclists as well as sharing the pure enjoyment of rolling on two wheels!

With easy links to Detroit via Michigan Ave to Corktown (bike lanes start at Livernois) or the Dix/Vernor corridor in the south end of Dearborn to southwest Detroit. Note: The City of Dearborn is currently drafting a Multi-Modal Transportation Plan that addresses first and foremost safety for cyclists and pedestrians.
