DESCRIPTION:Explore the Zoo and experience festive pumpkin displays\, strolling entertainment from jugglers and magicians and capture memories with themed photo opportunities all while visiting each of the trick-or-treating spots scattered throughout the Zoo! \nThe entire Zoo will be open\, allowing you to visit your favorite animals and watch them enjoy a treat of their own. Special Halloween-themed enrichment activities will be taking place each evening at various animal habitats! These activities are designed to simulate natural behaviors like foraging. \nWhat to expect: \n\nStrolling entertainment\nTrick-or-treating stations throughout the Zoo\nHalloween face painting\nPhoto opportunities\nEducation stations\nHabitat chats\nAnimal enrichment\nAccess to the Zoo’s naturalistic habitats\n\nNew this year: Themed weekends\nWe’re taking the fun to the next level with special themed weekends! Throughout the month of October\, we will be decorating the park each weekend to honor our favorite heroes and villains\, celebrate our friends in the animal kingdom or cast a spell over Metro Detroit. \nWant to join in on the extra special fun? Feel free to dress up according to each weekends theme! All costumes are welcomed during Zoo Boo. \nThemed weekends include: \n\nWildlife and Wild Places| Oct. 8-9\nWitches\, Warlocks and Werewolves\, oh my! | Oct. 15-16\nHeroes and Villains | Oct. 21-23\n\nTickets \nMember early bird presale happening now! \nMember rate $15-$21: As a membership perk\, members receive early ticket access and a discounted rate. This special pricing begins on Sept. 1 and is valid through Sept. 15. Not a member? Become one today!\nGeneral public rate $17-$23: Tickets go on sale to the general public on Sept. 16.\nParking: $8 per car for all Zoo Boo attendees\, including DZS members.\nTheater + add on $7 per person: Add on includes a ticket to the 4D Theater and your choice of the Carousel OR train.\nPlease note\, this pass does not include Zoo Boo admission. 4D movie choices are Tiny Giants 4D Experience and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs – The 4D Experience. Click here to view trailers. \nChildren younger than 2 are admitted free.
