Motor City Industry Fest Debuts at TCF Center in Detroit, Nov. 13-14; Features Career Fair, Live Performances, Panels, and More

More than 10,000 youth and adults from the Detroit region will come together at the TCF Center, Nov. 13-14, for the debut of the Motor City Industry Festival. The celebrity and community-filled event will feature panels discussing the music industry, entrepreneurship, business, financial literacy, and more; a high-end car and fashion show; a job fair; more than 40 local small business vendors; and live performances from performers and musicians from around the world. 

While the official festival opens for the public on Saturday, Nov. 13, local Detroit Public School and Wayne County students will be invited to a Junior Summit on Friday, Nov. 12, featuring local speakers and an exclusive tour of TCF Center. VIPs will also be invited to a charity ball and exclusive facility tour on Friday night. 

The schedule for the rest of the weekend includes: 

Saturday, Nov. 13 

  • 9 a.m. to noon: Industry Fest Job Fair 
  • Noon to 3 p.m.: Celebrity Guest Summit 
  • 3-6 p.m.: Car and Fashion Show 
  • 6-9 p.m.: Industry Fest Concert 

Sunday, Nov. 14 

  • 9 a.m. to noon: Detroit Leadership Sunday Service Event (a city-wide morning service and live Gospel music concert) 
  • 1-5 p.m.: Summit Workshops and Break-Out Sessions 
  • 1-5 p.m.: Car and Fashion Display 
  • 6-9 p.m.: Industry Fest Concert 

The summit workshops will include the panels Industry Talk, Digital Asset, Girl Boss, GOATS of Fashion, Let’s Talk Money with Akia Brown, Media Talk, Detroit Girls Brand Different, and Mental Health Awareness.
