2020 Preservation Detroit Cultural Center Saturday Tour
May 9 at 10:00 am - September 26 at 12:00 pm
Explore Detroit’s Cultural Center – 2nd and 4th Saturdays
On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, we highlight the monumental gathering spaces of Detroit. The tour departs from the Detroit Public Library Main Branch at the Woodward entrance.
The vision for Detroit’s Cultural Center began more than 100 years ago and has continued to evolve through decades. Uncover the stories behind Detroit’s great cultural institutions, like the magnificent art and architecture of the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Detroit Public Library and neighboring institutions as well as the Ferry Street neighborhood, its people, and their magnificent homes.
