I was born in Cuyahoga falls, Ohio, but I consider Canton, Michigan to be my hometown as I have grown to love the small city. I am currently a freshmen at Wayne State University hoping to pursue a major in Public Health, with a double minor in biology and global studies.
how I got started
I chose my major because it bridges the relationship between health and politics, both of which I truly have a passion for. I am currently a part of the UNICEF USA Detroit UNITE team serving on the council as an advocacy lead. Prior to receiving this position, I was a United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund representative of Detroit, Michigan. In the last two years, I have worked towards fighting for education, water sanitation and improving health facilities in underprivileged areas. In the future, I hope to pursue a career in the medical field along with working with or creating my own non-profit organization. Groups I am involved with: UNICEF USA, Detroit Young Professional Network
What I love most about working in Southeast Michigan
I love the work ethic that many students and people have within this area. I can’t see myself living anywhere else as the diverse and growing environment is something that really stands out to me.
