My story
I’m a first year Masters student at U of M’s School of Information–California Transplant passionate about social change. I recently graduate with my MSW from U of M’s School of Social Work, and I’m interested in the intersection between social justice and information/technology. I’m a product of Mexican immigrant parents and proud of my queer and Mexican identities.
how I got started
I’m always looking for the less traveled path. When looking to change systems information and technology can be leveraged as a tool for social change. I am currently in my program exploring how this can be achieved. But I have 5 years of nonprofit work experience which motivated me to pursue my MSW.
What I love most about working in Southeast Michigan
I love the people. The resiliency of the community is powerful and I wish to learn more.
